General Information
DCS provides a high-quality education in a safe and supportive learning community for students and families, empowers students with diverse talents, delivers rigorous and culturally relevant instruction, and fosters creativity, inquiry, and strong character development, and places great emphasis on providing students with a high-quality education. DCS commits to also providing culturally relevant instruction while fostering creativity, inquiry and strong character.

Academic Offerings
Discovery provides a high quality rigorous academic program in all areas with proven results. All students receive additional support based on the individual student. Students are provided the opportunity to participate in various performing and visual arts as well as physical education. Discovery offers programming driven by student interest and choice.

Transportation
Students receive transportation within a 15 mile radius from the students district of residence. All RCSD students are transported regardless of distance. If you have questions about transportation reach out to our Transportation Coordinator at 585-342-4032.
Uniforms
Students may wear: any DCS spirit wear, navy blue or black pants, skirts or shorts, light blue shirts with long or short sleeves, and post earrings only. Students may wear navy blue sweaters or button-down cardigans. Socks must be worn.
Hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up, hats, and sweatbands are not permitted.
Any student not wearing appropriate clothing will be required to change or may be sent home that day.
Sneakers or closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety. Additionally, sneakers are required for physical education classes.
