To foster excitement, a sense of inquiry and confidence, and promote academic achievement and life-long learning, Exploration balances instruction in core content areas with opportunities for students to explore, research, direct, experiment, and interact with knowledge.
The mission of Exploration Elementary Charter School for Science and Technology (Exploration) is to engage students, their families, and the community in the processes of scientific inquiry and the use of innovative technology to develop the social, emotional, and academic tools necessary to thrive in school and in today’s interconnected world.

To ensure our students comfort and confidence as well as foster their creativity Exploration is a non-uniform school. We want our students to feel comfortable, focused, and free to be themselves without stressing over what they are wearing.
Highlights:
- Clothes should be school-ready and cover the students abdominal area
- All shorts/skirts should be fingertip length
- Say no to vulgar, violent, or offensive messages on clothing
- No rips above the thigh
Instructional Models
Exploration uses Core Knowledge Language Arts 2.0 (CKLA) for Reading instruction and Eureka Math for Math instruction.
i-Ready Diagnostic Assessments are given three times a year for both Math and Reading as well as two growth checks a year. Explorationβs instructional team uses the diagnostic data to create smaller instructional groups to provide increased intervention to help students achieve their academic goals.
To further support our Explorerβs in their social-emotional well-being both our counselor and social worker create/disseminate a age appropriate survey 3 times per year. The data from said surveys is used to create smaller groups and provide increased intervention to support our studentβs social emotional needs.
