Instructional Models
Green Tech’s instructional model is specifically designed to meet the unique developmental and learning needs of Black and Brown boys by embracing research on the male brain and cognitive engagement. The model emphasizes hands-on, kinesthetic learning experiences that activate focus and sustain motivation, understanding that boys often learn best through doing rather than passive listening. Instruction is rooted in culturally responsive pedagogy, affirming students’ identities and lived experiences to build self-efficacy and reduce stereotype threat. Small class sizes with co-teaching allow for personalized attention and differentiated instruction targeting individual learning profiles.
Daily STEM integration encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and real-world application, making learning relevant and dynamic. The approach prioritizes relationship-based teaching, fostering trust and high expectations within a structured yet supportive environment that nurtures both academic and social-emotional growth. Ongoing data-driven assessments guide instructional adjustments, ensuring that all students progress toward mastery standards while developing as confident leaders.
