The process to apply to any of 20 charter school locations in Rochester, NY is easy! It only takes a few minutes to apply. The information you will need includes:
- Your email address or phone number
- Parent/Guardian contact info
- Child’s name, birthday and address (you may enter and apply for more than one child)
Once you click on Apply Now you will be taken to this screen. If you don’t have an account, you will be asked to create one. Click on Create an Account.
Create an Account Page
To create an account you will need either an email address or a phone number, then you will create a password and confirm that password. Once the form has been filled out, click Create an Account. You will now be taken to the Welcome! page.
This is where you will be asked to create your Family Profile. Click on Let’s Get Started and follow the prompts.
Step 1: Parent/Guardian Information
Once this section is complete, click either Add Another Guardian or Next. If you add another guardian, you will once again have the option to click Next.
Step 2: Student Information Page
Once this section is complete, click either Add Another Student or Next. If you add another student, you will once again have the option to click Next.
Step 3a: Student Information Continued
For each child entered you will be asked to provide current school information. Once complete, you have two options: Add Another Student (repeat this process until all students are added) or Next.
Step 3b: Choose Preferred Schools
At the top of this page you will notice a map that notes the locations of the schools that are available for you to choose from. As you scroll down, you can click on the school(s) you would like to apply to. Select the schools of your choice and click Next.
Note: You will need to repeat this process for each student that is applying to a school(s).
Step 3c: Confirm Your Application
On this page you will confirm your application and answer school specific questions. Please note, these questions will vary based on the schools that you are applying to.
Once you have responded to the questions and electronically signed the application you may either click Save Progress so that you can return to the application to finish it at a later date or you may click Next.
Step 3c – Continued
You will now have the opportunity to review the application information. Once you have done so, click Submit.
The system will now ask you to confirm your submission. To do so, click Submit.
You will then return to the Student Dashboard:
NOTE: If you need to fill out an application for the next child in your family, you should click on the “Add/Edit New Student Application” button in the Student Dashboard.
