CSA-Rochester

General Information

The Citizenship & Science Academy of Rochester Charter School provides support, challenges and opportunities for its students, and it instills the necessary skills and knowledge in math, science, and technology to empower students, through high intellectual standards, preparing them for college, career, and citizenship.

The CSA Rochester Charter School is a replication of successful schools Syracuse and Utica Academies of Science, and Syracuse Academy of Science and Citizenship.

The CSA Rochester Charter School opened in September 2022 with grades K-2, and we will add an additional grade every subsequent year until it becomes grades K-12.

Services

Transportation

Yes. Students are eligible for transportation within mileage guidelines provided by their school district upon completing registration.

Uniforms

Yes. CSA Rochester has a dress code that promotes pride in our school community. The uniform policy is in place to eliminate distractions and promote a safe and orderly learning environment.

  • Shirt: Burgundy or Light Blue CSA Polo (Online store will be announced in the near future).
  • Bottoms: Khaki or Navy Blue pants to skirts
  • Shoes: Closed-toe comfortable shoes

School Services

  • All students receive free breakfast and lunch daily
  • School nurse and counselor on-site

Instructional Models

CSA Rochester follows the SANY instructional model with an emphasis on STEM and citizenship. We offer a student-centered learning environment that promotes building relationships in an effort to provide students with an opportunity to succeed in an academic learning environment that is challenging, collaborative, and applicable to the real world.
